This Work Matters
Safety Positive Foundation exists to help disabled individuals build safety through dignity, choice, communication, and ongoing support.
But we do not do this work alone.
We do it with a crew.
People who believe that safety should be practical, accessible, and built in ways that fit real lives.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for people who are willing to learn.
You do not need to have all the answers.
You do not need to know everything about safety.
But you do need to be open to learning, growing, and contributing to something bigger than yourself.
We value people who are collaborative, curious, dependable, and committed to helping others grow in confidence and safety.
This May Be a Good Fit for You If
- You believe safety should be accessible to everyone
- You want to support the disabled community in meaningful ways
- You are open to learning new ways of thinking and doing things
- You enjoy being part of a team and contributing to something bigger
- You are willing to grow alongside others
This May Not Be the Right Fit If
- You are looking for quick answers without being part of the learning process
- You strongly believe there is only one right way to approach safety
- You are not open to feedback, collaboration, or growth
That is not a judgment.
It simply means this may not be the right season or fit for you.

Captain’s Department
Administration & Operations
Support behind-the-scenes coordination, communication, organization, and day-to-day operations that help keep Safety Positive moving forward.
Armada Department
Community Support & Services
Help support our community through programs, Teatime, events, and learning opportunities.
Some volunteers may grow into Safety Guide roles and help facilitate supportive learning spaces.
Jolly Roger Department
Marketing & Outreach
Help share the message of Safety Positive through social media, content creation, storytelling, outreach, and awareness-building.
Raid & Revenue Department
Community Growth & Connections
Help connect Safety Positive with organizations, events, and opportunities that expand access and visibility.
Treasury Department
Fundraising & Development
Help support the financial sustainability of the mission through fundraising, donor relationships, partnerships, and creative ideas.
And no… we could not bring ourselves to call it the Booty Department.
Bring What You Have
You do not have to fit into a box here.
If you have skills, lived experience, ideas, or a willingness to contribute, there may be a place for you.
We believe people grow into their roles over time.
