Where should I start?
Most people start with the Pioneer Path.
If you’re unsure, you can also begin by attending a free TeaTime to get a feel for the space and community.
Do I need any experience to join?
No.
Everything we offer is designed to meet you where you are.
You do not need prior training or experience to get started.
What if I’m not ready yet?
That’s alright.
You can take your time, attend TeaTime, explore, and come back when you feel ready.

TeaTime
Is TeaTime really free?
Yes.
TeaTime is open to anyone.
You can find the Zoom link through our website and community updates.
If you are part of a Path, the link may also be shared directly with you before each session.
Do I have to talk during TeaTime?
No.
You are welcome to listen, participate, or share when you feel ready.
There is no pressure.
What if I miss a TeaTime?
That’s okay.
You can join the next one.
There is always another opportunity to be part of the conversation.
Reset Training
What is the Safety Positive Reset?
The Reset is a four-week virtual training designed to help you build safety using the core pillars of the Safety Positive Method.
What if I miss a class during the Reset?
Because these sessions are not recorded, you can join a future session to catch what you missed.
You are not left behind.
Do I have to take the Reset right away?
No.
When you join a Path, you can take the Reset during any available session that works for you.
Membership Paths
What’s the difference between Pioneer and Pirate?
Pioneer is focused on learning and building awareness.
Pirate is where you take what you’ve learned and begin applying it consistently in your daily life.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes.
You can move between Paths as you grow and your needs change.
What do I get with a Path?
Access to Teatime, trainings like Verbal Access and Reset, community support, and additional resources depending on your Path.
Trainings
What is Verbal Access?
Verbal Access is a communication framework that teaches you how to advocate for yourself using a practical formula for real-life situations.
What is SHIELD?
SHIELD is a physical safety training that helps you build skills in a way that works for your body, environment, and lived experience.
What is Spicy Armory?
Spicy Armory is a pepper spray safety training that teaches you how to safely understand and incorporate pepper spray as one option within your personal safety plan.
Organizations and Speaking
Do you offer trainings for organizations?
Yes.
We provide customized trainings and ongoing support for organizations serving the disabled community.
Can you speak at our event?
Yes.
Speaking engagements are available for conferences, organizations, and community events.

Is this only for the blind community?
No.
While much of our work is rooted in the blind and disabled community, our approach to safety can support a wide range of individuals and organizations.
